Pets such as dogs and cats have to be watched closely as they can get into things that may not be good for them, resulting in a poisoning. While Wisconsin Poison Center focuses only on human poisonings, there are resources available for pet poisonings.
If an animal is exposed to any poison, immediately call the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center at (888) 426-4435. It is staffed by veterinary toxicologists. Note: there is a fee for this service.
